The curatorial premise of this exhibition was the former Persian Empire and its cultural legacy. It centered around the symbol of the traditional garden, as well as the contemporary realities of the places that formed this region. It also examined notions of paradise lost and found, lessons learned and forgotten, and traditions cherished and rejected.
