Asian Contemporary Art Week

Leeza Ahmady is director of Asian Contemporary Art Week (ACAW), an initiative of Asian Contemporary Art Consortium, New York (ACAC) and Asia Society Museum, and has led this renowned citywide event since 2006.

Each ACAW connects leading New York City galleries, museums, biennials, and institutions in a citywide event comprising of public programs and exhibitions. The Week focuses on contextualizing Asian contemporary artists who live and work in their home countries and abroad while highlighting the broad spectrum of artworks they produce. In doing so, ACAW connects audiences to current art practices worldwide.

In 2013, ACAW extended beyond its usual format to encompass the entire spring season March - June. Through this new season-long campaign, ACAW captured and highlighted the exceptional Asia-specific programs going on throughout New York City.
