Roya Ghiasy (Afghanistan) is an international artist who was born in Kabul and works between New York and Europe. Her work deals with researching phenomena that are related to cross-cultural intersections. She highlights her themes by using various mediums, from drawing, to multimedia to sculpture. She is one of the founding members of Center for Contemporary Art Afghanistan and the former director of Chuk Palu Gallery in New York - a commercial space that was the primary venue for contemporary art and culture of Afghanistan and its diasporas.
