Shaarbek Amankul (Kyrgyzstan) is on the leading edge of Central Asia's modern art scene. His abstract sculpture and art installations flow from his imagination, surroundings, and personal experiences. Not only is Amankul dedicated to exploring and mixing artistic forms of expression, he strives to build a dialogue with other artists and audiences by organizing international artist retreats and exhibitions in Europe and in his native Kyrgyzstan. In addition to his own art and curatorial endeavors, Amankul is currently the director of the B'Art: Bishkek Art Center in Kyrgyzstan.
Shaarbek's work has been seen throughout Europe and Central Asia and in the United States.

The project included installations, objects, photo, video and performance and focused on the topic of land seizures and marginalized communities in the Bishkek vicinity.
